How Do Chess Computers Think?

Chess computers don’t think like humans do when playing. They rely on their processing power and data storage capability to calculate their moves by using search tress, as known as the “brute force“ approach. Most chess engines such as Deep Blue use fixed-depth Minimax, Alpha-Beta pruning and Quiescence search as their main algorithms.
