François Couperin - BENEDICTUS from Messe à l’usage des Paroisses [Hauptwerk // Rotterdam]

In this video you can hear my rendition of François Courperin’s “Benedictus“ (Chromhorne en taille) from Messe à l’usage des Paroisses played on my Hauptwerk organ. I have chosen to use the sample set of Rotterdam, created by Sonus Paradisi although Prytanée would have been a better choice. One of my new members asked me if I could play some French baroque on my channel and of course I wanted to do that. As a matter of fact I dawned on me that I hadn’t played any French baroque piece at all on YouTube. The first music that came into mind was the wonderful and hauntingly beautiful Chromhorne en taille, Benedictus from the Parish mass by François Couperin. During my time studying at the music academy in Denmark I had the chance to play a “real“ French baroque on the very first study trip going to France.
