Steampunk record player

Another film of the steampunk record player. This one shows the throttle control working. More info at Some things to note here that people have commented on in the other videos. The steam exhaust does not blow on the LP. That was just an illusion in the other video. Also the LP is not warped. The platter is though. Not surprising since it is made from four planks of wood glued together! Also this wasn’t an attempt to make a serious record player. I just wanted something to work and to be steam powered and to look interesting. It doesn’t have to be good. It doesn’t matter the wow and flutter is off the scale. I am not going to redesign it to use a ’proper’ mechanic governor because using an Arduino is ’cheating’. It was just an interesting, fun to build, one off project. I am glad most people liked it.
