Making History - The First Women’s Boat Race | British Pathé

History will be made on 11 April 2015 when the men’s and women’s boat races will be held on the same day for the first time. History was also made in 1927, when the very first Women’s Boat Race took place. This short film uses genuine archive footage from the event. We thought it would be appropriate to set the - otherwise silent - footage to Handel’s Water Music.
