“The Langoliers“ is a miniseries consisting of two episodes of 1½ hours each (two hours each with commercials). It was directed and written by Tom Holland and based on the novella by Stephen King from the four part anthology book “Four Past Midnight“. The series was produced by Mitchell Galin and David R. Kappes. The miniseries originally aired 14-15 May 1995 on the ABC network. Story Plot: A Lockheed L-1011 is on a red eye flight from Los Angeles International Airport bound for Boston Logan International Airport. During the flight, Dinah Bellman, a blind girl, awakens and asks her Aunt Vicky for a glass of water. When she gets no response, she becomes frightened and calls out for help. Brian Engle, an airline pilot who is a passenger on the flight, awakens to her call. Other sleeping passengers begin waking up as well.
