Asylum seekers to be moved to former military sites

The government says its plan to house thousands of asylum seekers in “basic and functional” accommodation on former military sites in Lincolnshire and Essex, plus a non-military site in East Sussex, is part of its drive to reduce the amount spent on hotel rooms.
