Putin arrives in Beijing for high-level talks with Xi

This is the first visit by a Russian leader to China since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the talks, Putin noted the “unprecedented nature“ of Russian-Chinese relations, which help two countries not only to develop but also to support each other. “As for our bilateral relations, they are developing really progressively in the spirit of friendship and strategic partnership,“ Putin said.
