Slowly “Racing” the 2024 Lost Elephant Bikepack Race

I raced the 2024 Lost Elephant Bikepack Race on my singlespeed and wondered if I was too old for this stuff. The course was ridiculously hard with its 480km length and 10,485m of elevation gain and there was little chance of this 51-year-old finishing at the front of the pack. I ponder in this video the reasons for doing these events when finishing at the front of the pack is not expected. Thanks to the organizers for putting on a great event and stitching together an amazingly difficult course! The BBQ and race itself were something I’ll never forget!
