The military personnel, together with the district police officer, make door-to-door visits to village residents who have asked for help to the authorities in removing unexploded ordnance and enemy caches of weapons and ammunition from their homes. Anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordnance are what local residents find in the forest, their own gardens and vegetable gardens. Sappers clear mined areas.
