WWII Bomber Nose Art

This is one of the first slide shows I ever made but I like the topic. Originally I made four on Nose Art but the other three I can’t find! During WWII it was popular for a crew to paint images on the noses of their aircraft. This was particularly popular with the crews of the big bombers. The planes frequently became known by the nose art that it wore. The art differed according to the tastes and often the reputation of the crew and provided not only identification of the aircraft but also added a bit of levity for men who were engaged in the very serious business of war. Artwork included animals and other images but by far the most popular images were beautiful, scantily clad females. Some guys became very good at designing and painting nose art and they themselves became very popular.
