Various shots as prison wardens wave journalists away from the island. M/S as Pathe cameraman Frank Vail films the battle. Grenades are thrown into the convicts’ stronghold by the marines, various shots of smoke coming out of the windows, bushes on the island are set ablaze by the return fire. Various shots of Warden Johnson and Prison Chief Bennett after the revolt is over with 2 guards dead and 13 injured. C/U of Deputy Warden Miller with bullet gash wound on his face. Journalists film them. M/S of broken windows and bent bars from the grenades. M/S of the bodies of 3 convicts killed in the shoot out, brought back to the mainland on a boat.
