This Is What Happens When You Just Leave Them Alone

Welcome back to another episode of my fun with honeybees. I am Yappy Beeman. In this bee removal video, I head down to Birmingham, Alabama to remove a hive of bees in a column of a house. The homeowner had only noticed the bees for the past few weeks. They were prepping the house to sell and found them. Gratefully they found me and gave us a chance to see them upclose and personal and rehome them safely. Many have seen some of my videos where I collect swarms hanging in trees and ask, why not just leave them alone. Bees prefer an environment in side of something wood. Trees are the best for them but when not available they find the next best thing. In this case, the porch column. At some point, some kinda critter made a hole in the wood that opened up the internal void and the bees found it.
