It’s little known that Sir Roger Moore - the biggest James Bond with seven 007 movies - was passionate about wildlife. He gave huge backing to National Park Rescue, and was the organisation’s biggest financial backer. In this introduction film, Sir Roger says, “whenever the world has been in trouble, Commander Bond has been there to save the day. Well, I’m handing that baton on to the National Park Rescue team.“ Perhaps the reason Sir Roger was such a strong supporter is that - in an industry which spends billions on conferences and endless reports - National Park Rescue uses direct action to capture armed wildlife poachers and shut down the rampant corruption escaping the majority of charities. Sadly, Sir Roger died in 2018, but Lady Moore continues to support the organisation.
