Johnny Mathis “Mandy” 1975 [HD-Remastered TV Audio]

That last high note is a does a bang-up job with this tune originally made popular by Barry Manilow. The song history is interesting. “Mandy” was originally titled “Brandy” written in 1971 by Scott English and Richard Kerr. Scott English was the first to record the song and it was a huge hit in the UK. The next artist to record the song was New Zealand’s Bunny Walters in 1972. Barry Manilow was the third person to record the song in 1974 and it charted #1 in the United States. The original video didn’t have any sound on the left channel and the colors were too dark.
