Gymnastics - Vault Medal Contenders for Tokyo 2020 Olympics

These are the gymnasts that have chances to get a medal on vault at the Tokyo 2020 (or Tokyo 2021) Olympics. Simone Biles is the clear favorite to win gold, since she has the difficulty value and the scores to finish way ahead of everybody else. The lowest DV vaults she has are a 5.8 (the Amanar) and a 6 (the Cheng), and she could throw the Biles I instead of the Cheng if she wants to make sure she’s ahead of her rivals in start values. The silver is most likely to go to either Jade Carey or MyKayla Skinner who both do the exact same vaults (the Amanar and the Cheng), so it will depend on who qualifies to the event final, since the 2-per-country rule will keep one of them out of the competition.
