Iron Sky 1 - we come in peace HD

badass movie quotes - sometimes funny - sometimes dirty - sometimes violent - sometimes creepy - rarely epic Iron Sky is a 2012 science fiction comedy film by Finnish director Timo Vuorensola, starring Julia Dietze, Christopher Kirby and Götz Otto. The film makes reference to the myth of the “Reichsflugscheiben“ (Reich flying discs) allegedly developed by Germany as a wonder weapon during World War II, as well as to claims that the Nazis retreated to a secret military base in New Swabia after the war in order to launch a renewed attempt at world conquest from there. These exaggerated myths - some of which were actually seriously investigated by some pseudoscientists - originated in the 1940s and 1950s and have managed to persist in the realm of brown esotericism to this day. The film also plays heavily on clichés concerning American politics, such as the accusation that presidential candidates would walk over dead bodies in U.S. election campaigns, or that much of their foreign policy was actually the covert securing of raw material deposits. The president alludes to former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. At the same time, international organizations (such as the UN Security Council) and their negotiations are portrayed as ridiculous and hypocritical. The energy source Helium-3, which was exploited by the Nazis, is also given in reality as a reason for possible, future moon programs. The total budget of the film was about 7.5 million euros. Worldwide, the film achieved box-office takings of $8 million.
