Here I am walking in Köln / Cologne, Germany, through the city center with its many Christmas Markets and beautiful cathedral on a November night in 2021. Our walk tour goes from the Heumarkt in the Old Town to the Alter Markt, then to the Roncalliplatz and ends in front of the amazingly lit up Cologne Cathedral. Enjoy spectacular Christmas lights in the city during this walk, with many handmade goods & delicious foods to be found everywhere. With around 4 million visitors annually Köln’s Christmas Market is the 2nd most visited in Germany. Every year, the festively decorated “Cathedral City” invites visitors to take a Christmas stroll through Cologne during the holiday season. Large, lavishly decorated Christmas markets shine in the city centre. Each market is devoted to a different theme and is well worth a visit. Arts and crafts from all over Europe, high-quality goods, culinary delights and captivating entertainment programmes for young and old will make you look forward to Christmas with even greater anticipation. Cologne / Köln is the largest city on the Rhine and also the 4th largest city in Germany after Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. It is one of the most important commercial and cultural centres of Germany, home to numerous museums, galleries, arts and entertainment venues.
