Lockdown Live Looping Jam#01

Malaysia is back in strict lockdown due to the high number of COVID cases, so what else can I do but make more music. Here’s a jam I came up with, totally spontaneous (hence some weird bits - let’s just call it ’organic playing’.) DAWless Nerd Stuff: Looped on the Octatrack, with Korg Microkorg XL , Roland JU06, Arturia Microfreak, playing the Fender stratocaster through the Strymon Iridium (I didn’t use the Ceriatone Prince Tut on this one). One-shot recorg trigs for each instrument are placed in separate patterns, and each pattern is selected via a Singular Sound Midi Maestro pedal on the floor. Microkorg, JU06, guitar and piano/rhodes are using 4 thru machines (4-8) linked to 4 flex machines (1-4). Drums are played through a Korg Nanokey Studio sequencing a sliced drumkit on the 1010music Blackbox. All the tracks are recorded in separate tracks on the 1010music Bluebox. BlackBox and Bluebox are MIDI slaved to the Octatrack. Reverb is via an external send channel on
