Remember when the British police were wholly apolitical and just maintained order and caught crooks?

The police in Britain are now heavily politicised, as has been seen during Black Lives Matter demonstrations, where they knelt in the road, and more recently while attending Gay Pride marches. This was not the case until a few years ago.
