Recorded in October 1973 at Chappell Studios, London, with Eddie Pumer producing, ’3 Years’ was not released until 2008 on the album ’Sketching The Landscape’.
“I recorded four demos that night at Chappell’s Studios just off Bond Street, ’Small Town, Big Adventures’, Pearl Parade (For Fred & Ginger)’, ’Maybe Someday In Miami’ and this track, ’3 Years’. Only ’Miami’ made it beyond demo stage, being re-arranged and re-recorded by my producer Tony Meehan at Abbey Road for my debut album, ’Kid In A Big World’.
“The other three songs lay gathering dust until ’Small Town’ and ’Pearl Parade’ were included as bonus cuts on RPM’s 2003 reissue of ’Kid In A Big World’. ’3 Years’ finally got a release in 2008 on the compilation ’Sketching The Landscape’.
