Mikaela Shiffrin Wins First Slalom Crystal Globe (Lenzerheide 2013)
Coming into the world cup finals in 2013, Tina Maze of Slovenia led the slalom standings over Mikaela Shiffrin by 7 points. It all came down to the final race of the year in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, where after a subpar first run, Shiffrin exploded on the second run to move up from 4th to 1st. Not only did it secure her her first crystal globe, but her 4th career world cup win.
