TUBELESS with any Bicycle TIRE Ghetto Style The RIGHT way - BikemanforU with BMXBoy

Cheapest way to make a tubeless tire is in this how-to guide from BikemanforU. The bare-bones method in this video tutorial features a 27x1 1/4 ISO 630 tire and wheel, but works for any bicycle tire. Tool essentials include electrical tape, a smaller sized tube that’s been filleted, and a pair of strong hands - four hands in case one person gets tired, and a bottle of any tire sealant. BMXBoy, aka head mechanic Marcus Rankel, got the party started. Both he and the BikemanforU had to use a bit of brawn to muscle the tire onto the rim - after they laid out a layer of electrical tape over the spoke nipples and then stretched the opened tube over that to form a humungous rubber rim strip. They added some - exact measurement was guesstimated - gave the wheel a little shake’n bake to spread the glop - inflated to 90 psi (with some trepidation) - then cleaned the outside of the tire and then sliced away the excess rubber like a plastic surgeon doing a celebrity face lift. Well, not exactly. BMXBoy began with a razor blade but when he seemed to belabor the point, the BikemanforU jumped in with a box cutter. Did anyone notice that was the William Tell Overture that SonofA used for a little traveling music? This video tutorial is a direct result of the tubless tire failure that took place early that morning during the LIVE Show - when the guys tested a kit to no avail. After some pizza and a few moments to stop cursing, they tried again with a successful outcome, so far anyway.
