“Identified only by her fingerprints“ - parents of an Israeli girl killed at the music festival

Mikhail Silberman and Paulina Dov are migrants from the former Soviet Union who repatriated to Israel in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They met while already Israel, started a family, and had a daughter named Rachel. On October 7th 2023, Rachel, her boyfriend, and a friend of theirs from Chicago drove over to the Supernova music festival in Kibbutz Re’im. The same day Mikhail got a text from Rachel saying that there is shooting and explosions all around her. In an exclusive interview to TV Rain, Rachel’s parents shared the whole story of how they heard of the Hamas attacka and how they tried to rescue their daughter.
