Driving the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße, Austria

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the highest mountain pass of Austria, 2571 meters at the highest point (at the Edelweißspitze). The road is in great condition and features amazing views! In this video I drive from the north to south, driving past the Edelweißspitze, and stopping halfway at the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe for the views and some electricity. The road was constructed between 1930 and 1935. At 27 euros (electric car; 37 euros for petrol car), it’s the most expensive toll road I’ve driven in Austria, but well worth the money! 00:00 Start from Fusch 08:54 Großglockner Hochalpenstraße 23:55 Edelweißspitze 32:33 Großglockner Hochalpenstraße 49:28 Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe 01:11:52 Großglockner Hochalpenstraße
