The Royal Airforce College Cranwell (1961)

Reel two, LS Glider comes in to land, two cadets run forward to catch the wings and remove the cockpit cover. Cadet activities are shown, horse riding, Art classes, jazz band. In a classroom the cadets are finishing an exam, they exit the room. LS tarmac at Lyneham, a group of cadets walk past Britannia and Comet aircraft. They watch as a jeep drives into a Beverley Transport. LS of Comet taking off. A Lightning fighter taxis towards the runway, Great shots of the Lightning’s in flight Air to Air. The cadets look on as a crew scrambles aboard three Vulcan Bombers. Chocks away and the Vulcans move forward. The cadets watch as the planes take off. Air to Air of the Vulcans in flight. On the College stage the Commandant presents Navigator’s insignia to Ellis, and Pilot’s Wings to Howard. LS parade ground, cadets are all lined up. Cadets leave the ranks and halt in front of a dais.
