Good Samaritan Tackles Thief Who Attacked Elderly Man

A California restaurant owner chased down an accused thief after he allegedly attacked an elderly man. After Timothy Ratcliff saw a man punch and rob an elderly man, he ran after the assailant and tackled him. Ratcliff’s girlfriend came to help him and the victim, Richard Schlesinger. She and another woman retrieved the stolen items that the thief dropped. When the thief tried to break free, she stood on his legs. Police arrived on the scene 10 minutes later.
