Advancing with Watercolor: Technique- Luminosity with Graded Washes

I am returning to the technique of graded washers again this week. I revisit the process of creating a graded wash and with the intent of creating luminosity in the Square. it can create luminosity in the painting. I’m using three large washers to create luminosity, and light and bounce in the shadows. The scene is from a recent trip to Venice and the compo San Msrgarita. It’s late afternoon and friends and family are gathering for some cecchetti or venetian tapas. Of course this is accompanied by wine and a lot of conversation. Dinner usually follows! This area in Venice still has the feeling of a neighborhood - a relaxed feeling, full of families, wonderful interactions and many stories to be painted A list of materials used in this video Windsor and Newton watercolors Yellow ochre, burnt sienna, cad orange, ultramarine blue, Neutral tint Holbein Transparen
