Part of Spain under water! Severe floods in Madrid, Toledo and Tarragona

Spain continues to suffer from extreme weather. It has been raining heavily since the weekend. Among the affected provinces are Madrid, Toledo, Tarragona and Valencia. Some areas received more than 90 liters of rain per square meter. The streets have become like rivers. Buildings and houses were flooded. Water blocked cars on the roads. Thousands of people were affected by power outages. As of September 4, authorities have reported two dead and several missing. In Casarrubios del Monte, a 20-year-old man tragically died after falling into a flooded elevator. In Aldea del Fresno, a 10-year-old boy was rescued after the car he was traveling in with his family fell into the Alberche River. However, the child’s father has not yet been found. Authorities are also looking for a woman who was driving in Valmojado and an elderly man who was swept away by the current in Villamante.
