‘It was wrong’ – West rethinks Ukrainian attack on Kursk region. Retired US Brigadier General Kimmit says Zelenskyy’s plans are unrealistic. ‘It [the operation] was largely wrong in terms of distracting key Russian forces from the Eastern Front. It was wrong. In the end, the Russians did what they always do – they encircled Ukrainian forces. Zelenskyy’s military goals are to push the Russians out, both in eastern Ukraine and in Crimea.
