The oldest VOLCANOES in Europe | WIDE

France’s Massif Central represents an area of about 85,000 square kilometres, covered by meadows, forests, mountains and lakes. In this region lies also one of Europe’s biggest ranges of former volcanoes. No longer active or dormant, they are all of the different ages and they come in different shapes and sizes. They have held a fascination for dreamers, artists and scientists alike throughout the ages. We follow Alexandre Letort, a weather forecaster, as he travels on horseback through this exceptional panorama.
