Elton also visited locations where no rock act of his prominence had trodden before, such as the . Elton brought his classic songs to the country for 8 shows over 8 nights, including ‘Daniel’, for which he and Bernie Taupin won the 1973 Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
