How to save the life of a suicidal gay teen. A dramatic story. Consider this to be “R-rated“ (language, nudity, sexual situations) and NSFW. After more than a dozen years pursuing and many times *almost* producing a passion project, the feature film EVERYBODY SAYS GOODBYE--The Story of a Father and Son, I had to shut it down because its failure was affecting me in too many destructive ways. Broke and down-and-out, I needed to make an attempt to salvage something from that experience. I wrote HOT CAR as a snippet that was background in EVERYBODY SAYS GOODBYE. HOT CAR was created out of nothing; I had no money, a home I could borrow, and some friends. I needed a story that could be shot with no budget, in one location, with only one other actor, and in only one day.
