Police Officer Remanded on Attempt Murder Charge, PC James Riley @Lancashire Police

A serving Lancashire Police officer was charged with attempted murder after an incident at a hotel. Police were called to a hotel on Brook Street, Manchester at around on Thursday, November 10 to reports of a concern for the welfare of a woman. The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable conditionspokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “An investigation into that incident is ongoing and is being conducted by colleagues from Greater Manchester Police. He has been suspended from duty and we have referred the matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
