Friday, 3 June 2011 - Wynton played Miles’ “Donna Lee“ to open his set with the Igor Butman quartet at the Alpha Jazz Festival, Lviv, Ukraine. The video is a little shaky in spots, but Wynton was at his virtuoso best and I hope you enjoy it. We’re blessed to have Mr. Marsalis and his horn among us. Think a little bit deeper on it: this is the music that unites us, getting us past the bs and toward the truth. This music, this level of virtuosity, is finally coming to the post-soviet space and the world becomes a better place.
