3 reasons to not buy one | KTM 390 Duke FAQ #3

As lovely as the 390 Duke can be, it isn’t for everyone. One. It does run hot and you will feel on your legs in city traffic, especially when stopped. Especially if you cannot be bothered to be in riding gear all the time. The shorts and flip-flops brigade -- heat is hardly the big issue -- will suffer on the 390 for sure. Two. It can be all calm and smooth but the 390 generally urges you to go faster and can be deceptively fast. It needs skill to ride well and concentration to ride, all the time. It’s quite the commitment. Three. The 390 began in 2013 at a great price point. But today, the 390 Duke is a reasonably expensive purchase. Consider point two... the Duke 250 is quite a bit less intense to ride, but not slow and might be a better buy for many. ~ This FAQ: 2017-2022 KTM 390 Duke Review: We also made a video earlier on Shumi’s 2014 KTM 390 Duke: ~
