Hopeful Skies 133: “Everlasting Life“ (Progressive House Mix by Alex H)

“Hopeful Skies“ is a weekly series where I highlight some of the best recent tracks in the progressive house scene. Each mix includes several of the most recent tracks that I think will become classics in no time, though I slip in some long-time classics here and there too. In addition to progressive house, I also show some love to deep house and trance as well. While I’m away on a six-week trip to Japan, I’ve had some of the greatest producers of the MPH scene take on Hopeful Skies’ mixing duties while I’m gone. The second set is by Colorado-based Alex H, one of the progressive house scene’s most prolific and successful producers. If you’ve been a fan of progressive house for even just a little bit, you’ve certainly heard Alex H. Since beginning his producing career in 2011, Alex has produced and remix dozens and dozens of what may safely be considered some of the best prog tracks out there. Some of his most revered and popular tracks include his remix of “Only You“ by James Lowndes & Paul Lowndes (the first track I ever heard from Alex!), “There’s No Turning Back,“ “Auf Wiedersehen,“ “Odyssey,“ and many, many others. Alongside other legends such as Mango, Shingo Nakamura and Lumidelic, Alex has established himself as one of the greatest driving forces of the progressive house scene over the past 10 years. This mix gives a nice little taste of where his sound resides now - in the smooth, melodic side of deep prog. I hope you all enjoy this lovely mix from the legend himself!
