Purchase our small batch Artisan Handmade Paint here: Purchase my original paintings here: Support me on Patreon: Today I’m painting a beginner friendly loose landscape using a limited palette, indigo, burnt sienna, alizarin crimson and yellow ochre. The idea is to try to let go and paint a wet in wet sky as loosely as possible, aiming for plenty of subtle drama, with a hanging wood on a hillside, gate and fence, loosely painted and kept really simple. It looks challenging, but it is a simple and exciting process that will probably take a bit of practice, but is really useful for getting beginners used to the way water and paint can flow on the page, and using rich paint to obtain balanced tonal values with plenty of darks, while keeping things fresh and light. I’m using Saunders Waterford 100% cotton cold pressed 140lb/300g weight paper, 11“ x 1
