Dance Dance Little Girls (1931)

“Down to the tiniest tot, all brushing up their steps to impress fond mamas at the end of the term.“ M/S of a woman dressed in a ballet outfit giving instruction to young girls in cute outfits. Woman holds the hand of one very young pupil (about 3 years old?) and instructs her in high kicks. C/U of the little mite doing a few steps. Pretty cute stuff I must say! “Sometimes the youngest have older ideas -“ C/U of the little girl who does a bit of jazz dancing - a Charleston I presume. Hilarious! C/U of the girl who is heavily made up - a bit creepy. She puts her hands on her hips and looks coyly from side to side. Very funny. “And the older girls, steps of their own - “ An older girl - about 7 or 8 - does some groovy dancing. Another does an acrobatic dance with handstands. “On toes light, but not fantastic.“ The older woman who was teaching at the beginning does a balletic dance twirling around. All very cute.
