Directed by Georges Schwizgebel (Swiss/ Canada, 2011). Screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2012. A grand romantic saga set to Rachmaninoff’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, Op. 19; we are transported into two lovers’ labyrinthine adventures. Animated with pencil, pastels and acrylics by the Swiss maestro Georges Schwizgebel, Romance is a dazzling visual transcription of this Rachmaninoff scherzo.
