How To Build A Fold Down Wall Desk | DIY Murphy Desk

Today I’m showing you how I built my own version of a DIY folding wall desk (or, Murphy desk)! While it functions as a desk with storage when folded down, it looks like an art piece when folded up and stored away! This is a great option for homes that are in need of creative desks and space saving work-from-home areas. Even better, I was able to build this desk in just a few short days with the help of Walmart and their DIY & Done section of their website! This is a great beginner build and was so much to make! This project is sponsored by Walmart. »»»» M A T E R I A L S & T O O L S For a full written tutorial and product list, please visit my website: You can find the printable PDF plans for this build here: Visit Walmart’s DIY & Done Shop here: Inspiration For This Build: » TOOLS Miter Saw Circular Saw/Table Saw Drill & Driver Doweling Jig (Optional) Pocket Hole Jig Brad or Pin Nailer Sander & Sandpaper Iron (For Edgebanding) Wood Clamps Carpenter’s Square Tape Measure Safety Goggles Painter’s Tape: Painting/Staining Supplies: » MATERIALS (2) 1 x 6 x 8’ Boards (1) 1 x 2 x 6’ Board (1) 3/4“ X 3’ Square Dowel (1) 4 x 4’ Sheet ¼“ Birch Plywood ¼“ Dowels (Optional) Pegboard: Wood Screws & 1 ¼“ Pocket Hole Screws Birch Edge Banding Wood Glue Wood Putty (3) Full Overlay Hinges: (1) Pair Gas Struts: Wood Stain: Latex Paint: Spray Polyurethane: Pegboard Organizers: » DECOR Jar Storage: Faux Plants: Leather Notebook: Arm Chair: »»»» O T H E R P R O J E C T S DIY Murphy Bed: DIY Guest Room Makeover: DIY Floating Desk: Easy DIY Desk: »»»» F O L L O W M E Instagram: Facebook: Twitter: Pinterest:
