Here’s my first work on YouTube. I hope you enjoy it. This soundtrack somehow sums up my experience with war, political persecution and forced immigration. At the age of 16, my family and I rebelled against a dictatorship led by a tyrant called Assad in Damascus starting from 2011 onwards through demonstrations to demand freedom, civil rights, democracy, and a secular regime that ensures equality for its citizens after 40 years of oppression. At the age of 17, I was kidnapped by the regime secret intelligence forces, tortured on daily bases while I was kept in an underground prison cell with ~40 other individuals. The reason: I demonstrated against the regime. The protests back then usually took place on Fridays, I can still recall the day of my release on Thursday so I joined a protest the very next day and forward.
