Ludmilla Pakhomova & Alexander Gorshkov 1970 World Figure Skating Championships FD

Again - you be the risen up the ranks to nip on the heels of Towler & Ford in 1969, Pakhomova & Gorshkov were the heirs apparent to the World title here. Despite being 1.5 points behind after the compulsories and OSP combined, they came out of the free dance with a 1.3 point advantage to take the title by one tenth of a point and the ordinal of one judge; namely Mollie Phillips of Great Britain. Watch the two performances back to back and draw your own conclusions!
