Stairway to Heaven, if it were written by Dire Straits. Listen on Spotify: In March of 2021 I did my first Dire Straits style video, where I played a bit of the guitar solo, like I thought Mark Knopfler would play it. Back then I barely had any experience with mixing, recording properly, producing, editing. Nevertheless the video shot up to a few hundred thousand views, and so did my next few videos. Almost three years later, we’re back to where it all began. Making these videos has taught me so much about how recording works, and I feel like it has helped me progress in a way that I had not discovered before. For that I owe a thank you to everyone that has supported me since then, by watching, liking, commenting and sharing these little videos. Thank you! I wanted to do this song in the style of Telegraph Road. A slow burn, that builds up to an epic solo at the end. I used my PRS to get the sound of Mark’s Pensa Suhr MK1. All the other instruments are also played or programmed by me.
