Wendy O. Williams - Reform School Girls (13 Oct 1986 - Ritz NYC)

Shot at New York City’s RITZ on October 13, 1986 Wendy and band perform the title track to the film “Reform School Girls”. The super charged, high-energy performance features Wendy and fans on stage in an ongoing battle with security guards who get thrown off the stage and stage-diving into the audience almost as many times as the energetic crowd members themselves. Stage diving was a big part of Wendy’s NYC audiences back then and bringing audience members up on stage was something she loved to do. The band here is the super duo Michael Ray on guitar and Greg Smith on bass and Ray Callahan who toured during the 2nd party of the Kommander of Kaos tour and then played drums on MAGGOTS: THE RECORD after TC Tolliver went on hiatus. The footage was shot by Rod Swenson who had been asked to produce an “MTV video” trailer for the film by the film’s Producers. He used pieces of this video (here shown complete with timecode in with outages) to cut in with footage from the film itself. The title track song for the film used here was Produced by Rod with Brian Drago, the owner of Broccoli Rabe studios in Fairfield, NJ where 3 Plasmatics and Wendy albums were also recorded. Brian also played sax on the track and is seen here at the end of the video playing the sax part and coming on stage in a tutu.
