Magic Moment As Orangutan Mother Has First Interaction With Her Baby

The moment we have been waiting for! Orangutan mother and grandmother Jazz is looking after her newborn baby and the newborn baby of her daughter. Sprout was too inexperienced to look after her son and when she gave birth she walked away. Her mother Jazz picked the baby up straight away and never let it go since. Jazz is sitting up the top. Her mum Jazz with the two babies below her. Sprout followed them around in the past, but always at quite a distance. Jazz sits on a log with baby Jim and Joe while she tries to squeeze a spot. At that point son, Jim is on her left and Joe on the right. To my delight suddenly Sprout appeared. She’s taking Jim’s arm first, holding it, sniffing it. Then she moves over to the other site. Sits next to her mum. Jim is trying to grab Joe’s face. Jim slightly touches Sprout’s hand and then Sprout starts playing with her son’s hair.
