Religion in Kazakhstan

Historically, Kazakhstan has always been a crossroads, a place of meeting and dialogue of various religions, cultures and civilizations. Today, the Republic is a striking instance of peaceful coexistence - with over 40 confessions and denominations (40% Christian and 57% Muslim) as well as 130 nationalities and ethnic groups all living peacefully together.
