Garry Tonon Highlights Garry “Lion Killer“ Tonon is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Tom deBlass and Ricardo Almeida. He has also spent a lot of time training with John Danaher and Firas Zahabi. Interestingly, Garry was Gordon Ryan’s instructor. Garry spent the first five years of his BJJ journey focusing mostly in the Gi. He is now known for being a no-gi specialst. Garry is also known as “You’re mom’s favorite grappler!“. He is also known for his branding “Cash, Chicks, and Championships“ which you can see him sporting in the last clips of this video. Garry has won a number of tournaments including 1st place at the IBJJF Pan Championship along with several EBI tournaments. Aside from being well versed in leg locks, Garry demonstrates a vast knowledge of submissions and transitions between them. In this video you will see him grab a kimura, use it to transition to a crucifix, and transition to a guillotine from there. You will see him go into heel hooks, RNC(s), guillotines, darces, knee bars, toe holds, and even completing several uchi matas on his opponents. He is a marvel to watch.
