She had recently broken her leg in a car accident, but insisted on performing despite her injuries. She sang the song with such passion and emotion that the audience was moved to tears. Her performance of “Stupid Cupid“ is considered one of her greatest, and it is a testament to her strength and determination. Cline was a rising star in country music at the time of the accident.
