Feet - Fun - And Fancy (1927)

“A silent little spasm by Johnny Hudgins of ’Black Birds’ fame.“ reads the title. Introductory intertitle reads: “Hush! hush! hush! Here comes the Bogey Man!“ A white gloved hand appears from behind a door. The hand does a royal style wave. L/S of a man with a blacked up face appearing between two doors with curtains hanging over them. Closer shot of the man as he peeks around the door - he is acting scared or cautious. He has the black face and white lips of the “Black and White Minstrel“. Eventually he steps into the room and puts a straw hat on. He walks along then takes his hat off and bows to the audience. His trousers are quite short and reveal his white socks. He does some silly dancing including an early moonwalk! C/U of his feet as he does some turns on the spot. He has an india rubber style of dancing. He does a little Charleston style dance. Quite funny stuff. Was an item in Pathe Pictorial issue number 469.
