I’ve Got The World On A String - Rita Reys & Pim Jacobs Trio

Music video of Rita Reys & Pim Jacobs Trio performing Harold Arlen’s I’ve Got The World On A String from their Edison Award winning album Marriage in Modern Jazz. The album was released on Philips in 1960 on occasion of Rita’s marriage to piano player Pim Jacobs. It features Pim’s brother Ruud Jacobs on double bass and Wim Overgaauw on guitar. That same year Rita and her trio won the award of the renowned Antibes Juan-Les-Pins jazz festival, after which Rita became known world wide as Europe’s First Lady of Jazz.
